A Few More ATCs

Good evening, just a quick post to show you a few more ATCs that I have made using my Lavinia stamps.  I just adore them and may have to increase my selection :)  I have used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry and Shaded Lilac and stamped in black with Memento.  I have used a white pen for the highlights.

I am sitting patiently waiting for a call from Amy who is on her way up from London for a few days, should be picking her up from the coach around 8pm.  Can't wait to see her, I've put some Easter decorations in her room and made it really pretty for her.  It's only a short stay as she has loads of work to complete for her final year at uni and the pressure is on!

Enjoy your evening and thanks for calling by.

Long Time No Post!

Loads of snow here in Yorkshire this weekend, it's like Bleak Mid Winter not Spring :(  Hope the sun and warmth come along soon!

Last weekend I went to the Harrogate Paper Craft Event and treated myself to some beautiful Lavinia stamps, some of which I have used to make these ATCs  I have used Distress Inks to make a blended background.  I used Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans.  I then stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I added some glitter which is a little difficult to see on the pics but it looks lovely in 'real life'  I have used a few other stamps to make up the scenes, some from Hobby Art, Woodland Scenes and also from Crafty Secrets, Vintage Silhouettes.  It was great to see so many friends at the show and spend time chatting with them.

Well off to make a few more ATCs now, really enjoying working on a small scale :)  Thanks for calling by.
Until next time.

Mother's Day Gift

Good morning everyone, sorry for the long delay in my posting but been slightly under the weather....Again!  Hoping that my blood tests next week will show an improvement and I can soon be back to full health to enjoy the Spring and Summer weather.  The little cards I am showing today were inspired by the lovely ladies at 'Lovin' Ink.  I saw the beautiful samples that they brought into work for their workshop and was inspired to have a go with my Distress Markers and do a little water-colouring.  I made two sets of these little cards which I then wrapped in tissue paper and tied with a ribbon to give to both my mum and Kevin's mum for Mother's day.

I used several stamp sets making these cards they were as follows:

Tim Holtz - Visual Artistry  (birds in flight, not sure what the set is called)
Craftwork cards - Graceful Grasses & Birdcages
Crafty Secrests - Vintage Silhouettes
PI Lindsay Mason - Hope Blooms
Crafty Individuals - CI-209

Thanks for calling by and hopefully I will post again soon :)

A Little Birdie Told Me

Good evening, what a beautiful day it has been.  I hope you have had chance to enjoy a little of the sunshine today, it really makes me feel better, especially when I am starting with a dreaded cold.....sore throat and runny nose stage!

Today the card I am showing is made using the Crafter's Companion cd and stamp set 'Angelica and friends' collection.  I have enjoyed colouring this image and having a full cd of backing papers that are designed for the range is great.  I have used my copics to colour and added some glitter to wings and edge of the dress and some liquid pearls on the little toadstool.  The sentiment was a freebie stamp from Pink Petticoat.  The little bird charm is a Marianne Designs charm.

It's Kevin's birthday tomorrow so I have also been making his birthday card....I know...left until the last minute :)  At least I had in mind what I was going to make him so it hasn't taken me too long.  Well off to start on the tea now, chicken and veg.  Hope you all have a great evening and thanks for popping  by.

A 'Crafty' Day

Good evening, well today I have been playing with some of the new Woodware stamps and making samples for work (Samuel Taylors).  I have had a lovely time with all three as they are all so different.

Noah's Ark
For Noah's Ark I have stamped the image twice, once onto plain white card and again onto some craft card.  I coloured the image on the white card and cut out the Ark from the craft card, slightly tricky but worth it :)  I have used some simple white spot on blue and some paler craft card for the layers.

Trees
The tree card is my favourite :)  I have kept it really simple.  The solid trees I have stamped with Flitter Glue and then used gilding flakes.  I then stamped the skeleton trees onto acetate using Stazon black ink.  I attached the acetate to the craft card with some metal brads and then mounted them onto a plain white 6x6 card.  The little verse that comes with the trees was then stamped straight onto the plain card.

Mother's Day Card
This is quite a large stamp and gives loads of opportunity to add embellishments or colour into the little circles.  I chose to use some pearls and card candi.  I stamped and cut out the image with a large scalloped circle die and then inked using an Adirondack Sandal ink pad.  I coloured the leaves with two shades of green Copic pens.  The background papers are Kaisercraft 75 cents collection.  I also used the tonic butterfly punch to punch out two butterflies from the same papers.  The sentiment is from a Kaisercraft set called 'Mother'.

Thanks for popping by and taking a look at my cards.

Tweet, tweet

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying life's moments.

It's a rainy cold Sunday Afternoon, but looking at this image reminds me that Spring is round the corner, can't wait to feel the warmth of the sun instead of cuddling up to the radiators :)  I have used a digital image that I downloaded a while ago printed onto plain white card and then again onto some patterned paper by My Mind's Eye - The Sweetest Thing.  I have coloured the remainder of the image with my copics.  The faux stitching has been done using my new stitching stamps which I love. I made three flowers using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and stamped a sentiment from another set of stamps.

Well I think some more crafting is on the cards for today as it's too cold and wet to do much else :)  Enjoy the rest of the day.

Hi

Good Morning, hope all is well with you today x

The card I am showing today is probably one of my most favourites, I love the pretty little girl stamp by My Favourite Things, I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set in my demo at Samuel Taylors on Saturday and fell in love with her so ended up buying the set (one of the hazards of getting to play with the new products at work!).  I have used my favourite Spellbinder (for the moment) Decorative Labels 8 and some new papers all in my favourite colours, True Love by Basic Grey.  I have used some of the pretty papers to paper piece the dress and then coloured the rest with my copics.  I stamped the tiny sentiment and then punched out with the Epiphany Studio Embellishment punch and popped it into the metal casing.  I have also used a little tile with a rose painted on it, not sure but they could be from Prima.  I have used a few paper roses from Hobbyhouse and made some tiny pearls using liquid pearls.  Hope you like this creation as much as I do :)

Have a great day and thanks for calling by
