Good evening everyone, hope you are all looking forward to the weekend, I know I am :) It's been a busy week working and I have some great things to enjoy on Saturday and Sunday. As a 50th birthday present my sweet daughter, Amy, gave me two tickets to see Miranda Hart in her live stand up comedy show at Manchester Arena so we are off to Manchester on Saturday to see the show. I was hoping to see the show with Amy but her travels in Thailand have been extended and sadly she can't be with me so I guess I will take Kevin instead :)
On Sunday I am hoping to go to the Great Northern Papercraft Extravaganza at Harrogate and spend a fabulous time shopping and seeing lots of crafty goodies and hopefully bumping into lots of crafty friends :)
The card I am showing you today was made several weeks ago but can now be shown as it has been received by the birthday boy himself. I got a lovely phone call from Simon thanking me for his birthday card and telling me how pleased he was with it, he gained his black and brown belt at the end of last year and has been chosen to represent England in Italy later this year, I am so proud to be his 'Auntie' Dawn.
I have used a Mo Manning digital image 'Karate Kid' and coloured him with my Copics. I must admit I am pleased with the way the shading worked as it's difficult to colour in and make something look white. I kept the card simple and used some check paper mounted onto some brown card. 'Simon' was cut out using my Cricut.
Well off to add to my shopping list for Harrogate ;) Until next time....
Dawn x
