First Ever 12x12 Scrapbook Page!

Well here it is, my first ever 12x12 Scrapbook page :)  I thought I would have a go as we needed some samples at work to show off the new papers we have just received.  I must admit I was slightly daunted by the size of the project having only ever made a 6x6 page before and I could probably have used a little more to embellish, but I am quite happy for a first attempt :)  I have used papers from the Sun Kiss Collection by Prima.  The edges have been punched using a Martha Stewart punch and the strips have been cut with a Tonic floral (geared) punch.  I have cut out flowers and butterfly with Tonic punches too.  The text has been printed onto Safmat and then stuck onto one of the journal tags which I have cut from one of the papers in the collection.  I have used Card Candi and Crystal Sticker diamantes.  The photo is showing a little paler than in real life.  I have enjoyed doing this project and may possibly do more 12x12 pages in the future :)
Off to have a go at the next project now which is a paper bag for the demo day on Saturday at Samuel Taylors.

Make and Take cards Saturday 24th March 2012

The cards I am showing today are the two cards I have designed for the Make and Take day on Saturday at Samuel Taylors, Embsay.  They are simple designs but use a few different techniques.  I have stamped both images, the top one is a Hero Art's stamp and the bottom is an IndigoBlu stamp.  I have used Distress inks on both cards, on the first one, I have left the Nestie in place and inked over the die so it leaves the edge white.  The second one i have inked the edge after I have removed the Nestie.  I have layered them onto some coloured card and added some gems and pearls.

Spring Meadow

Good afternoon everyone!  Had quite a busy day today, I am in the middle of making two Mother's Day cards and tidying Amy's room ready for her return on Sunday...Looking forward to seeing her so much, really missed her.  I am also hoping to get on with my card ready for the Demo day on Saturday at Samuel Taylors, Embsay, I have got as far as stamping the image while I wait for my pinflair to dry on the Mother's Day cards.  I have also been and bought both mums a plant and some chocolates so mostly ready for Sunday now :)   The card I am showing today is a Wild Rose Studio stamp...In the Meadow.  I have used the matching backing papers and some dusky pink card for a background.  I have used my copics to colour and added some paper roses, diamantes and a greeting.  Well better get a move on lots to do and I am out this evening at Holly Red helping the ladies at the craft class there.  Enjoy the rest of the day x

One For The Boys

Well here I am doing two posts in a day! :)  I have made this card for my  friend's son's birthday, it was actually last week but not had the chance to get to see him yet but that will change this evening as we are going to see him after his music group.  I always feel like I am cheating when I use a ready made topper but sometimes it just has to be done.  This is from a Kanban sheet, I have decoupaged the layers and mounted it onto some brown gingham card, added card candi and a sentiment.

Pretty Fairy Card

Good morning everyone...could be afternoon by the time I upload this post :)  Had a lovely day crafting yesterday and even managed to fly round with the Hoover and do the food shop too! (only wish every day could be so productive!)  The card I have made here is using a Lili of The Valley image.  I have coloured her again with Copics and added some Diamond Sparkles glitter to her wings.  I used some new papers that are from Wild Rose Studio - Annabelle's Meadow.  I cut out a rosette using my Memory Box Die and added a glitter brad to the centre....well maybe not quite to the centre!  I used my new Epiphany Crafts shape studio embellishment maker to make Bubble Caps to match the papers.  I have added a small piece of lace and cut out the layers of the image and paper with Spellbinders nesties.  Really loved making this card, hope you like her too!  Have a great day x

A Bit of Citrus

Good morning, I have a couple of days off work now and am looking forward to some craft time and getting on to of my Housework....Guess which will come first?  :)  I made this card using a free digistamp that I got in a craft magazine.  I have coloured with my copics and cut out using my scalloped Spellbinders nestie.  I added some Stickles glitter around the edge of the larger oval and used a pretty background paper that I have had for ages.  The border at the bottom was made using a Memory Box Die which I 'Love'.  I used some green diamantes to embellish the border and added some bright flower-shaped buttons to the corners of the paper.  Well off to start my next project, have a great day everyone! xxx

JUST FOR YOU

Well feeling slightly under the weather today, but hopefully once the antibiotics kick in I should improve.  I have eventually finished my card which I started days ago!  I have used a cute image which I bought from Mo Manning digital stamps, I have coloured her with my copics and then cut out with my nesties.  I have inked the edges with two colours of Distress inks, Shabby Shutters and Bundled Sage.  I have then cut a strip of pink card using a tonic punch and added diamantes to the centre of the flowers.  I have used a pretty background paper which came free with a craft magazine and added some pastel Woodware miniature button brads which I think are soooo cute :)  I finished off with a layered paper flower.  Could possibly become a Mother's day card :)
