ATC Storage Box

Good evening, hope you are looking forward to the weekend. I am doing a 'make and take' session at Samuel Taylors, Embsay tomorrow and we will be using Pan Pastels and Memory Box dies to make a pretty silhouette card, so really looking forward to that :)

Today I am showing the lovely little ATC holder I made using a Sizzix Bigz die that I bought just before Christmas and have only just had chance to play with.  I die cut the shape using some 300 gsm white card and then cut out the papers to decorate it with from a Prima paper pad, 'Sunny Days'.  I used a white gel pen to add some faux stitching and then punched out some flowers using papers from the same pad and popped a little pearl into each centre.  I used a Velcro fastener to close the flap of the box.

It's just the perfect size to hold a few ATCs

Now I need to make a few more to store all my ATCs.

Thanks for popping by....until next time....

Say it with flowers

Good evening, I hope you have all had a good weekend and you're looking forward to the week ahead.

We have had news from Amy to say that she has applied and been accepted for a scholarship in Thailand so she now won't be home until April not February as first expected.  We are both happy for her as she is really enjoying life out there and that's what's most important, even though we are missing her madly :(  At the moment she is on a break from her teacher training and has flown to Cambodia to do some site seeing around the temples at Angkor Wat, she then makes her way down through Thailand and back to Phuket to resume her scholarship.

Well onto something crafty now.  I have made this little birthday card for my sister in law as it was her birthday the other day.  I have used a Paper Smooches stamp set 'Friendly Flowers' and stamped them onto some BoBunny papers 'Hello Sunshine' collection then cut them out and mounted then onto a white card blank.  There is quite a lot of dimension on this card as I shaped the flowers before using pinflair glue gel to stick them to the card.  I cut a vase shape from my Cricut cartridge ' Walk in my Garden' and then added a cute little wooden ladybird.  The sentiment has been stamped directly to the card blank and then I have gone around the edge with a fine liner pen to frame the image.

Thanks for dropping by.

'Busy Bee'

Afternoon all and thanks for dropping by, I really do appreciate you taking the time to check out my blog and for all the lovely comments I receive.

I have had a wonderful time creating these little 'mini masterpieces' I have decided to take up Mel Heaton's challenge and make some 3 x 3 inch cards.  I made the card blanks with my Cricut Create using the Sentimentals cartridge, it includes lots of shaped card blanks so it was easy to pop in the size of 3x3 and away it went and cut out perfect 3 inch cards.  I then used my Paper Smooches stamp set 'Giddy Bugs' and some papers from BoBunny 'Hello Sunshine' collection.  I coloured the cute little bees with my copics and stamped and cut out some little flowers from another stamp set.  Both sentiments were cut out using my Cricut, from the 'Walk in my Garden' cartridge.  It's been a change to use my Cricut machine, it's always sat on my desk but it's very rarely that I use it, but I think that will change ;)

Just need to make some little envelopes for my cards now...ooh guess what?...I can make them on my cricut too :)

Until next time...

Hi

Hi folks and thanks for popping by.

I have a little card to show today that seems to have taken me an age to complete! I started it days ago and have only just got round to adding the finishing pieces.  I have used a cute little image from a Paper Smooches stamp set which we have just started to stock at Samuel Taylors, you can find them here  I love them :)  I coloured the image with my copic pens and then cut him out and mounted him onto a circle of card/paper stock from MME - Vanity Fair.  I have used a  stamp from Kaisercraft (Sweet Pea) for the bunting and cut out the letters for 'Hi' on my Cricut Create machine.  I have used a circle kraft card blank and gone round the edge with a white gel pen.

Well that's all for now folks!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  Thanks for popping by, hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to 2014 :)

We had a lovely Christmas although it was over far too quickly as usual :(  We shared some time with family and friends and even managed to open our presents from Amy while she watched all the way from Thailand...The marvels of technology!

I had every intention of spending lots of time crafting over the holidays but other things seemed to be more important so it was yesterday that I made this little card for my Godson who's celebrated his 8th birthday on Friday.  It's just a simple card using a topper from Lili of the Valley and some gingham and blue card.  I cut 'Steven' from silver mirror card using my Cricut Create and added a sentiment and some card candi.

I edged the insert with some gingham card and then cut out some bones using a punch, I thought it tied in nicely with the image of the little dog on the front and kept it suitable for a boy :)

Have you made any New Year Resolutions?  I am just hoping to continue my keeping fit routine, so it's back to my Pilates this evening.  I am also going to look after my nails as I had some fabulous polishes as a Christmas present, I have made a good start by not biting them since Christmas day (not sure how long this one will last!) here's hoping in a few weeks I will have nails to be proud of!   Then of course I will continue with my crafting and blogging :) .....This one's easy!!!

Looking forward to your comments and wishing you a 'crafty' 2014.
