I Love Colouring

Good evening, hope you have all had a good Christmas and enjoyed some relaxing time with friends and family.  I haven't had much time to craft lately but have made this little card to practice my Copic colouring.  The image is a Saturated Canary image I downloaded, I loved the colouring pens in her apron :)  I have then cut her out with a Spellbinder shape and mounted onto a lacy die-cut.  I have added flowers and some tiny pink gems for embellishment. Wishing you all the best for a happy and healthy 2013

A Simple Card

Happy Sunday to you all!  Just thought I would show a little card I made following my colouring workshop last week.  We practiced colouring black hair which I found quite difficult but hopefully this Gorjuss girl image looks ok with her black hair :)  I stamped the Gorjuss image using Memento black ink and then coloured her with my Copic pens.  I cut the image out using a Spellbinders label die and then used some papers from my stash and some Kraft card to layer everything.  I have done some faux stitching around the papers using a white gel pen.  I found three little lemon buttons and a paper rose in yellow to add as embellishments.  I haven't added a sentiment yet, will leave that until a later date when I decide who the card will go to and for what occasion.

Thanks for popping by.

Tinsel in a tangle - doggy version

Good afternoon, well what a shock, two posts in as many days :)  I finished the card that I made yesterday with the cat stamp and I decided to check out Mo Manning's new designs and there was this cute little doggy, I just couldn't resist his pretty little face so here he is on my doggy version of the card.

Thanks for popping by and for taking the time to leave a comment, they are appreciated.  Until next time....

Don't get your TINSEL in a Tangle!

Hope you are all well this December Monday  :)  It's been a busy few days here and I am looking forward to a more relaxing week this week.  I have started as I mean to go on by spending the day doing some crafting and even managed to squeeze in a little Housework too!

I made this card using two Stampendous stamps that I bought when I attended the wonderful workshop at Inspirations, Preston.  I had the pleasure of joining Melanie Heaton at a Copic colouring workshop and had an amazing day colouring in :)  I have Melanie to thank for making me go back and buy the sentiment as I was only going to buy the cat, so glad I got them both now.  I have stamped and coloured the image with Copic pens, then die cut out using my spellbinders.  I added glitter to the Christmas hat and some glossy accents to the kitten's nose.  I die cut a border and added some punched holly leaves and red berries. I have inked the edges of the paper and die cuts with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

I had to have this little kitten stamp even though I told myself  'no more Christmas stamps!' as it just reminds me of my cat Gypsy

Gypsy cuddled up to Molly, one of our other cats...So cute :)

A canvas gift

I spent a very happy day making this 6x6 canvas as a gift for my niece Katy (hopefully she won't read my blog until after her birthday on Friday) I have painted the canvas with pink, mint green and white acrylic paint.  I then cut out a chipboard, Tim Holtz edging die and coloured it with Distress pens.  I wrapped some bakers twine around the bobbin.  The buttons are sewn onto some vintage thread cards which I printed out on my computer from a download which I think was from the Craft Stamper site.  I have used a small piece of paper from a Papermania pad with the sewing pattern image on and inked it with Tea Dye Distress ink.  I stamped the little sentiment onto a Craftwork cards ticket and added some sewing themed charms.  The edges of the canvas have been stamped with a Kanban ruler stamp.  Katy loves all things crafty so I am hoping she will love this handmade gift.

I would like to enter this into the Stitch in Time challenge at Anything But a Card with thanks to Rachel for suggesting it :)

Today's Little Project

I made this little wallet yesterday following instructions from Rosemary Merry's blog, I saw her make it on Create and Craft tv and thought it was a great idea to pop either money, gift cards, ATCs or even a selection of fruit teas for a small gift.  I have used a 12x12 paper by Kaisercraft, The Lake House Collection, I have added a chipboard flower covered in the same paper and used a hook and loop fastener to close it.

Gift bags and card

I have spent some time today decorating these little paper gift bags (an idea I have 'borrowed' from my friend Katy).  I have used a Sizzix die by Tim Holtz called Reindeer Flight.  I cut out the reindeer in chipboard and then again in paper 'Aspen Frost' then stuck them onto each other.  I then inked around the edges with Distress ink (Tea Dye) and punched some little tags that I can write on later when I have bought the gifts to put in them :)  The little card has been done in the same way.

Thanks for popping by...Hugs until next time
