Clockwork Notebook

Hi there!  Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, it's been a wet and windy day here and all the snow has magically disappeared and we are now left with a lake instead of the field behind our garden, if it freezes tonight we could be ice skating tomorrow :)  The note book I am showing today was the project I did on my day off on Thursday, not had chance to post until now.  I took a plain note book and covered the front and back with some Kanban 'Industrianan' paper and then I used my new Clockwork Spellbinder embossing folder and embossed some craft metal.  The detail is really fabulous I am 'impressed' (pardon the pun!).  I added some screw brads and some Tims Holtz cogs to the front.  I then die-cut the umbrella man in chipboard and covered him with silver distress stain.  On the corners, both back and front I put some metal corners, think they are Creative Expression ones.

The inside page of the note book I have again covered with paper from Kanban Industriana paper pad.  I stamped the verse and then die cut using decorative labels 8.  The edges were then inked using Pumice Stone Distress ink.   I am really pleased with my note book, not quite sure what I am going to write in it yet, perhaps I could just write my crafting ideas in it when they come to me as I have a habit of thinking of ideas and projects and when I have time to do them I can't remember what I thought of :) (probably an age/time of life thing!)

Well off to do the washing up now :(   Have a great evening and thanks for popping by.

Just For You

Good morning :)  Thanks for visiting my little blog today, I really appreciate it.  Today I am showing one of the little cards I made as a demo card at Samuel Taylors, Embsay  last Saturday.  I had a wonderful time playing with the Spellbinders Daisy Topper die set and made this little card using some papers from the Kaisercraft 'Marigold' collection. I die cut the flower and edged the petals with a copic pen, I added some green pearls and a sentiment onto a card blank that I made using Kraftcard.  I used a fine liner pen to doodle round the edge.  It was a quick card to make but I am quite pleased with the result.

I have a free day today and a crafting project in mind :)  Just a little housework to do first and then it's crafting all the way!  I even have my fortnightly craft class this evening, life doesn't get any better :)  Hope you all have a wonderful day.  Until next time....

Have a Hoot

The sun is shining and everywhere looks so pretty covered in snow, I am looking forward to my walk with Maisie today as she loves the snow, just about to have some lunch and then it's wellies on, wrap up and out with the doggy :).........

.......Ok I'm back now and would like to show the card I made last night using the Woodware free stamps and papers that came with my Papercraft Essentials magazine.  I have stamped and paper-pieced the owl using the free papers.  I added a couple of googly eyes (just couldn't resist them!).  I have used a sheet of Kraft card to make the card blank and die-cut some of the papers for layers.  Thanks for calling by, just going to pop a chicken casserole in the oven for tea, see you next time.

Clock Work

Hi there!  Well it's a very snowy day here in North Yorkshire and the sky still looks full so probably lots more to come yet.  Hope you are keeping safe and warm.  I have to venture out later so hoping the main roads are clear, I think wellies and a shovel are in order, fingers crossed I don't have to use it to dig my car out :)

The card I am showing today has been made using the Papermania Chronology range.  I have also used the cog dies and Gold Mirror card to cut out all the cogs I have used as embellishments.  I have added some Tim Holtz clock hands to the sentiment.  I inked the edges of the papers/card with Gathered Twigs DI.

I'm hoping to do some crafting later in the day so keep an eye out for my next post :)

Chronology card

Well this is a turn up for the books, two posts in one day, well hopefully, as I have scheduled this post so fingers crossed it works :)  I guess if you are reading it then it has!  I have made this card using the new Papermania Chronology range.  The background paper and the stamped background come from that collection, the sentiment is from Indigo Blu, the embossed card has been done using a Tim Holtz embossing folder and the gears/cogs are also Tim Holtz.  I have used DI pads to add colour to the background stamp, sentiment and edges.  I have enjoyed making this card as it's a change from the norm for me :)
Have a great evening all and thanks for popping by

Demo card from Saturday 14th January

Hello to you on this snowy Monday, hope you are keeping warm and safe, I have already ventured out in the snow to post a thank you card to a friend and pick up some desperately needed milk, I have now battened down the hatches and got my crafty head on :)

The card I am showing today is the card I did as a demo on Saturday at Samuel Taylor's at Embsay I have used the Just Rite stamps and coordinating Spellbinders dies. I created a background using Cosmic Shimmer Acrylic mists and then stamped a background stamp (JustRite - Lattice) with black Brilliance ink.  The stamped label is from Violette Vintage Labels, I stamped the image and then used the acrylic mists as paints and coloured the flowers and letters with them.  I then used an Old Paper DI pad to add some colour to the label.  I embossed a background layer using an embossing folder (sorry not sure what that was called) and then mounted all the layers onto green card.  I added a small sentiment that says 'Thank You' and some Aurora Boreaelis gems.
Thanks for popping by and hugs until next time.

Sewing Themed Bobbin Wreath

Good morning all, hope you are well on this Wednesday morning.  I have quite a busy day today but really hoping to craft at some point in the day.  I am showing a Bobbin wreath that I made yesterday, I have chosen Kaisercraft 'The Lake House' papers to cover the bobbins.  I threaded buttons and silver beads between the bobbins and also tied ribbon and lace between them.  I added three little sewing charms to ribbon and placed them between the bobbins.  The bow at the top is made from a printed ribbon.

Wishing you a wonderful day

Huge Hugs for 2013

Happy New Year!  I am starting my new year with a bright cheerful card that I made yesterday using a cute little girl stamp that was sent to me from a friend for Christmas.  I have coloured her using my copics and then chosen some papers from a free paper pack I got with a magazine.  I've added some faux stitching, paper flowers and some punched butterflies.  The sentiment is from a Little Claire designs set.

Thanks for popping by and for the lovely comments, all greatly appreciated
Hugs
